Technical Surveyor & Commissioning Lead – Enterprise Security Systems
Location: South England (travel required)

The Opportunity
V7 Recruitment are partnering with a rapidly growing, independently owned security systems integrator who are expanding their senior leadership team.
Due to continued project wins across enterprise and high-security environments, they are seeking a technically strong Survey & Commissioning specialist to take ownership of pre-installation surveys, system validation and final commissioning delivery.
This is a key hire within the engineering function, offering genuine technical autonomy and involvement in complex, integrated security projects.

Salary & Benefits
  • £60,000 – £70,000 basic salary

Responsibilities & Experience Required
  • Carry out detailed technical site surveys and produce structured reports
  • Review and validate system designs prior to installation
  • Oversee and complete commissioning of integrated security systems
  • Conduct configuration, testing, calibration and optimisation of systems
  • Ensure documentation, compliance standards and handover packs are completed accurately
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors on-site
  • Attend project meetings and act as the senior technical point of contact
Systems will typically include:
  • Enterprise CCTV platforms
  • Access control solutions
  • Intruder detection systems
  • Intercom and integrated security technologies
Experience Needed
  • 5+ years’ experience in security system commissioning or technical surveying
  • Strong understanding of IP-based systems and networking infrastructure
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Genetec, Milestone or C-Cure
  • Knowledge of manufacturers such as Axis Communications, Honeywell or Gallagher advantageous
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and technical specifications
  • Strong documentation and quality control standards
This role would suit a Senior Commissioning Engineer ready to step into a more design-validation and technical leadership focused position.
