The Opportunity
V7 Recruitment are working in partnership with a growing enterprise-level security integrator seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer to support major integrated security projects.
This role will focus on the commissioning, configuration and optimisation of high-end electronic security systems across complex commercial and secure environments. The successful candidate will act as the lead commissioning specialist on projects, ensuring systems are delivered to specification, compliant with industry standards and fully operational at handover.
This position is suited to an experienced commissioning engineer who has worked on large-scale, networked security platforms and is confident operating in enterprise environments.

- Lead commissioning of enterprise-level CCTV, access control and integrated security systems
- Configure, test and optimise IP-based security platforms
- Validate system performance against design specifications and client requirements
- Conduct structured functional testing and fault diagnostics
- Produce full commissioning documentation and handover packs
- Provide on-site technical guidance to installation teams
- Liaise with project managers, IT teams and client stakeholders during commissioning phases
- Support system integration across networks, servers and third-party platforms
- 3+ years’ experience commissioning electronic security systems
- Proven background delivering enterprise-scale projects
- Strong understanding of IP networking principles and system integration
- Experience working with leading platforms such as Genetec, Milestone or C-Cure
- Familiarity with manufacturers including Axis Communications, Honeywell or Gallagher
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and network topologies
- Experience working within NSI/NACOSS Gold or similarly regulated environments preferred
- This role requires a methodical, technically confident engineer who can take ownership of commissioning phases on high-value projects.
