About me:
I’m originally from a small town near Newcastle and studied Marketing before deciding to take my career in a completely different direction and move into recruitment.
I’d been with my previous employer for six years, so joining V7 and stepping into a completely new industry is a big change for me, but that’s exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a new challenge and a career where hard work is recognised, there’s clear room to progress and you can genuinely see the results of what you put in.
I’m now joining V7 as an Associate Recruitment Consultant, working alongside Claire and focusing on Mechanical & Electrical recruitment.
Outside of work, I’ve decided this is also the year I’m finally going to get into running, so I’m hoping the new job and the new hobby both stick!
My favourite film is Prisoners, and I’m also a big fan of The Walking Dead
– 11 seasons might put some people off, but for me that’s part of the appeal.
What made you want to get into recruitment?
I was really attracted to the progression you can get in recruitment and the fact that the effort you put in can have a real impact on how quickly you develop.
After six years in the same workplace, I felt ready to push myself into something completely new. There’s a lot for me to learn, but that’s what makes starting in recruitment exciting.
