About me:
I’m originally from Wakefield and recently graduated with a degree in Marketing. Although marketing was the route I studied, I realised pretty quickly that I wanted to start my career somewhere fast-paced, people-focused and with plenty of opportunity to progress, which is what drew me towards recruitment.
I’m now starting my recruitment career with V7 as an Associate Recruitment Consultant, working alongside Claire and focusing on CSA recruitment.
I’ve always been quite a sociable person and I like being somewhere I can speak to different people every day, so recruitment felt like a really natural fit. I’m completely new to the industry, but that’s part of what appealed to me, I wanted something that would challenge me and give me plenty to learn.
Outside of work, I’m very sporty and play both hockey and tennis. I’m also always up for a chat, going out with friends or having a drink when I get the chance.
My favourite film is Dead Poets Society, although I’m probably more of a TV person day-to-day. Give me a good seven-episode series I can binge through quickly and I’m happy!
What made you want to get into recruitment?
For me, it was the combination of people, progression and the opportunity to be rewarded for the work you put in.
Coming straight out of university, I wanted to start somewhere where I could really challenge myself rather than feel like I was just easing into a career. Recruitment gives me the chance to meet lots of different people, learn quickly and see where I can take things.
