- Ideally has a proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
- Has experience managing complex construction projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Has strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, tender processes, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Has experience working with JCT contracts
- Is commercially astute, highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Can provide sound contractual advice and confidently manage commercial risk
- Has excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
- Can lead, mentor and develop junior members of the commercial team
- Is happy to work across sites in the North West
- Leading the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Taking ownership of projects and work packages of varying size, complexity and value
- Managing cost, contractual and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Procuring subcontractors and materials and managing subcontract packages through to final account
- Preparing and managing valuations, variations, cost reports, forecasts and final accounts
- Identifying, managing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
- Providing commercial and contractual guidance to operational and site teams
- Attending and contributing to internal project meetings, client meetings and wider stakeholder discussions
- Building strong working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors and project teams
- Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring commercial documentation is managed in line with company procedures
- Managing, mentoring and supporting Quantity Surveyors at all levels, including Trainee and Project Quantity Surveyors
- Supporting the wider commercial team and contributing to the continued growth of the business
