- Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CIBSE, CIOB, Engineers Ireland, or equivalent).
- Health & Safety management training (e.g., IOSH).
- Experience with project planning and management.
- Specialist training in live energies / arc flash or equivalent.
- Advanced qualifications (higher diploma or master’s degree) and chartered status are advantageous.
- Familiarity with BIM, digital construction, or emerging technologies is desirable.
- Provide leadership, technical guidance, and direction for the delivery of MEP systems.
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
- Manage tendering, procurement, and award of MEP packages in line with business and contractual requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of MEP works into overall project programmes.
- Coordinate with utility providers and key stakeholders to meet interface requirements.
- Review, approve, and manage coordinated drawings and builder’s work requirements.
- Track equipment and plant through procurement, delivery, installation, and testing.
- Identify and mitigate programme, contractual, and commercial risks proactively.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, inspections, snagging, and progressive sign-off of installations.
- Oversee the safe management of live energy systems in accordance with statutory and company standards.
- Develop and implement inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover plans.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and learning.
- Promote strong client, consultant, and supply chain relationships.
- Ensure preparation of safety files and support soft landings processes.
