Senior Fire Alarm Projects Engineer

Location: London / Hertfordshire / Buckinghamshire
Salary: £46,000–£50,000 + Door to Door travel (OTE £70K-£75K)

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established, family owned fire and life safety company that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Projects Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong fire alarm professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working closely with clients, engineers, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing fire alarm projects from handover through to completion
  • Overseeing installation, commissioning, and final certification of fire alarm systems
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in line with relevant standards (e.g. BS 5839)
  • Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers on site
  • Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants, and main contractors
  • Managing project programmes, variations, and quality of works
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where required
Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in a Fire Alarm Projects Engineer role
  • Strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems and relevant British Standards
  • GENT experience highly desired.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • High attention to detail with good technical and commercial awareness
