Senior Electrical Project Engineer Location: Finland
Project: 150MW Greenfield Data Centre
Role Type: Client-Side

We are hiring a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Finland to support the delivery of a 150MW greenfield data centre.

This is a client-side role. You will represent the owner and take responsibility for the electrical scope from design development through construction, energisation, commissioning, and handover.

The Role You will oversee the electrical infrastructure for the project, ensuring it is designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in line with the project requirements, local regulations, and agreed programme.

You will work closely with design consultants, EPC contractors, utility providers, and equipment vendors to make sure the electrical systems are delivered safely, on time, and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the electrical scope across all project phases

  • Review and coordinate design documentation from consultants

  • Oversee HV utility connection and substation interfaces

  • Monitor installation of transformers, MV/LV systems, generators, UPS and critical power distribution

  • Review protection studies, load flow analysis, and commissioning procedures

  • Attend FATs and support SATs and energisation planning

  • Ensure compliance with Finnish regulations and international standards

  • Track progress, manage risks, and resolve technical issues

  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams

  • Support final handover to operations

Requirements
  • Strong experience delivering HV/MV infrastructure on large projects

  • Experience on data centres, industrial plants, power projects, or similar critical facilities

  • Solid understanding of power system studies and protection coordination

  • Experience working with utilities and grid connections

  • Ability to manage contractors and consultants in a client-facing environment

  • Comfortable working on site and leading technical discussions

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone practical and technically strong, who understands how large electrical systems are built and commissioned, and who can take ownership of the electrical package from the client side.

This role is based in Finland and will require regular site presence.
