Senior Commercial Manager | Data Centre Construction

V7 Recruitment are working with a leading construction and data centre delivery specialist to recruit an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join their growing project delivery teams in Vaasa, Finland and Kristiansand, Norway.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take a senior role on a large-scale, technically complex construction project in Europe. You will be responsible for the commercial delivery of the project, providing leadership across cost and value management, contract administration, financial reporting, risk and change control.

You’ll be joining a well-established, family-owned construction business with a global reach and a strong track record of delivering some of Europe’s most significant construction projects.

What's On Offer
  • Salary of €100,000–€130,000
  • 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotational model.

The Role
  • Leading cost and value management across the project.
  • Ensuring robust commercial systems, procedures and controls are maintained.
  • Overseeing financial reporting, forecasting and cashflow management.
  • Negotiating contract terms, bonds, warranties and guarantees with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Managing change control, variations and entitlement recovery.
  • Leading commercial risk and opportunity management alongside the project operations team.
  • Providing commercial guidance and support to the wider project delivery team.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the commercial team.
  • Overseeing cost plans and commercial reporting.
  • Analysing project costs to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensuring commercial governance and company standards are maintained.
  • Preparing long-term cashflow forecasts and commercial reports.
  • Developing commercial controls to monitor project financial performance.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Advising on contractual risk, subcontract agreements and commercial compliance.
  • Supporting wider business planning and representing the business within relevant industry network s.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a senior commercial or quantity surveying position within construction.
  • Strong experience across cost management, contract administration, change control and commercial reporting.
  • Experience managing commercial risk, variations and contractual entitlement.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontract management.
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects.
  • Data centre, mission-critical or other technically complex project experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing commercial teams.
  • Strong financial, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.
Rotational / Relocation ModelThe role offers a 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, providing an attractive option for people who want to work internationally while maintaining regular time at home.

Alternatively, full relocation support is available for candidates who would prefer to relocate permanently. Partners are welcome to relocate, with shared accommodation and car hire arrangements available.
