We are partnered with a leading organisation within the passive fire protection sector, seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Major Projects division. This is an excellent opportunity to support the commercial delivery of large-scale, high-value projects and contribute to the ongoing growth of a rapidly developing business.
We welcome applications from candidates with a minimum of 2–3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within a construction or specialist subcontracting environment. Exposure to major projects or Tier 1 contractor settings would be highly advantageous.
The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of major passive fire protection projects from tender through to completion, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control and contractual compliance. You will work closely with clients and internal delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and long-term partnership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Support tendering activities, pricing and commercial proposals.
- Monitor project commercial performance and profitability.
- Prepare accurate monthly reporting, forecasting and cost analysis.
- Review contracts and manage commercial risks and change control.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure programme success.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to process improvements and commercial development initiatives.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience
in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Experience delivering high-value construction or passive fire protection
works (Major Projects experience desirable).
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
- Strong analytical, reporting and financial management capability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive, organised and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Relationship-driven with a commercial mindset and focus on quality delivery.
- Up to £65,000 salary(dependant on experience)
