Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Projects Location: Finland

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a client-side basis, supporting major data centre projects based in Finland or willing to travel.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term programme of works within a fast-growing, high-value sector. The role offers a competitive day rate and ongoing contract security, with an immediate start available, though flexibility can be offered for the right candidate.
Role Overview As a client-side Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management and cost control of large-scale data centre developments. You will work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance, contract compliance, and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a site-based position and prior on-site construction experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial oversight of data centre construction projects
- Cost planning, forecasting, and budget management
- Reviewing contractor valuations, variations, and change orders
- Contract administration and commercial risk management
- Managing procurement processes and supporting tender evaluations
- Monitoring project expenditure against approved budgets
- Preparing and presenting commercial reports to senior stakeholders
- Liaising with project managers, consultants, and contractors
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
- Strong on-site project experience (essential)
- Previous client-side experience preferred
- Data centre project experience is advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel as required
- Fluent English required (Finnish is beneficial but not essential)
