V7 Recruitment are working with a specialist property development lender
that provides funding solutions to small and medium-sized developers across the UK.
They are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor
to join their growing team.
This is a unique client-side opportunity where you’ll be working on behalf of the lender, overseeing projects from initial costings through to completion. You’ll be the vital link between the funder and the developer, ensuring cost control, progress tracking, and timely release of funds.

Ideal Candidate
- Must be willing to travel across the UK on a regular basis.
- Housebuilding/ low rise project experience is desirable.
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in residential or mixed-use projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and excellent cost management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple live projects.
- Based within a commutable distance of Manchester and open to UK-wide travel.
- Professional, detail-oriented, and able to build strong client/developer relationships.
Duties include
- Reviewing and assessing initial project costings submitted by developers.
- Conducting regular UK-wide site visits (approx. 10 sites per month).
- Monitoring build progress and preparing detailed reports.
- Recommending and authorising staged drawdowns of development finance.
- Liaising closely with developers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
