V7 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a growing specialist within the life-safety smoke ventilation sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of installation and commissioning projects across the Southeast and occasionally UK-wide. The successful candidate will work closely with project management teams, clients and site engineers to ensure safe and compliant delivery.

- Installation, testing, snagging and commissioning of smoke ventilation systems
- Providing client training and obtaining system sign-off
- Ensuring all commissioning and documentation records are completed accurately
- Daily communication with the Project Manager regarding progress and issues
- Supporting strategy and programme design
- Resolving technical problems on site
- Working in line with strict Health & Safety procedures
- Identifying and minimising site risks
- Maintaining a professional appearance on site
- Keeping up to date with technical information
- Delivering thorough handovers to After-Sales teams
- Monitoring subcontract labour and training engineers where required
- ???????Strong engineering and electronics knowledge
- ???????Minimum 5 years' experience in Smoke Ventilation, Controls or HVAC industries
- Excellent planning, record-keeping and communication skills
- Ability to work from schematics, site plans and project drawings
- Ability to provide technical support to clients and colleagues
- Well organised, proactive and commercially aware
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
- Able to remain professional under pressure
- Full clean driving licence (minor points considered)
- CSCS card
- Physically fit
- Willing to travel and stay away when required
