V7 Recruitment is partnering with a leading Design & Build contractor that is seeking an experienced Operations Lead to join their growing business. This is a newly created role, offering an excellent opportunity to join the company at an exciting stage of expansion.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a proven background in construction Design & Build projects

  • Be willing to travel nationwide

  • Have fit-out experience (advantageous but not essential)

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, able to set high standards and gain buy-in from operational teams

  • Be commercially astute and process-driven

  • Be a proactive problem solver, capable of identifying and addressing issues early

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the board, you will oversee the smooth and effective operation of the business

  • Ensure all sites are set up to a consistently high standard, with programmes adhered to across the portfolio

  • Work closely with teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standards

  • Identify and support development opportunities within the team

  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction throughout the build process and beyond

  • Provide guidance and support while encouraging team autonomy

  • Drive continuous improvement across the business
