V7 Recruitment are supporting a leading Project Management Consultancy (PMC) who are seeking an experienced MEP Lead to support the delivery of a large-scale hyperscale data centre campus (150MW) in Finland. This is a client-side leadership role, responsible for overseeing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing packages across multiple buildings and ensuring the successful delivery of critical infrastructure systems throughout the construction lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with the client, contractors, and consultants to manage MEP delivery, coordination, quality, and programme performance on a technically complex mission-critical project.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the client-side MEP Lead
overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the project.
- Manage and coordinate MEP contractors and subcontractors
across multiple data centre builds.
- Review and provide technical oversight on MEP designs, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Ensure installation works are delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.
- Oversee MEP construction activities on site, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of critical systems.
- Lead coordination between CSA, MEP, commissioning, and client teams
to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Review and approve method statements, technical submittals, and inspection test plans (ITPs)
for MEP works.
- Support commissioning planning and readiness
in collaboration with commissioning teams.
- Monitor progress and performance of MEP works and provide regular reporting to the client project team.
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and interface challenges
across the MEP scope.
- Support the management of contractor RFIs, change management, and technical queries.
- Proven experience as an MEP Lead / MEP Manager / Senior MEP Engineer
on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong background delivering mission-critical or data centre projects(hyperscale experience highly desirable).
- Demonstrated experience working on large MEP packages within complex infrastructure builds.
- Previous client-side, PMC, or consultancy experience
preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within data centres(power distribution, cooling, UPS, generators, etc.).
- Ability to coordinate across multiple contractors and disciplines
on a fast-paced construction programme.
- Strong technical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required; Finnish beneficial but not essential.
- Willingness to be Finland-based and work across multiple project sites.
