Measuring Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Project (Finland)
We are currently seeking an experienced  Measuring Quantity Surveyor  to join a major hyperscale data centre construction project in Finland on an initial  12-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of Europe's largest mission-critical developments with a leading contractor delivering the full construction scope on site.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate measurement and quantification of completed works across CSA and Civils packages, ensuring that valuations, applications for payment, variations and commercial reporting are supported by precise site measurement.
Working closely with the commercial, construction and engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring all measured quantities are accurately captured throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out detailed measurement of completed CSA and Civils works on site
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and quantity take-offs from drawings and site progress
  • Measure and value variations, change orders and additional works
  • Support interim valuations and applications for payment
  • Verify subcontractor measurements and payment applications
  • Maintain accurate records of measured works and progress
  • Work closely with Site Engineers, Construction Managers and Quantity Surveyors to validate completed works
  • Assist with cost reporting by providing accurate quantity data
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify measurement requirements
  • Ensure all measurements comply with contract requirements and project standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a  Measuring Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor with significant measurement responsibilities
  • Strong background in large-scale construction projects
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
    • Data Centres
    • Industrial Construction
    • Mission Critical Projects
    • Commercial Construction
    • Heavy Civils / Infrastructure
  • Excellent understanding of:
    • Concrete structures
    • Reinforcement and formwork
    • Earthworks and groundworks
    • Structural steel
    • Civil engineering packages
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of measurement standards and commercial procedures
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who enjoys being on site and takes pride in producing accurate measurements that underpin the commercial success of a major construction project.
Previous data centre experience would be advantageous but is  not essential. Candidates from large industrial, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or major commercial construction projects are encouraged to apply.

Location:  Finland
Contract Length:  12 months initial (long-term opportunity)
Project:  Major Hyperscale Data Centre Development
Rate:  Negotiable (dependent on experience)
Start Date:  ASAP
Eligibility
  • Must hold a valid  EU passport  or have the  right to work within the EU
  • Must be willing to work  full-time on site in Finland
