Our client is a forward-thinking and rapidly growing M&E contractor delivering bespoke high-rise residential and commercial schemes. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor  to join their team in Manchester.

Ideal candidate:
  • Experience working on high-rise residential and/or commercial developments
  • Strong M&E quantity surveying background
  • Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and communication skills
  • Able to work independently while building effective relationships with site and operational teams
Duties will include:
  • Commercially delivering M&E projects from inception through to completion.
  • Producing monthly interim valuations, cost reports and contract forecasts.
  • Developing and managing project revenue and cash-flow forecasts.
  • Preparing budgets, cost estimates and financial reports.
  • Managing procurement of materials and subcontractors, including tender documentation and bid analysis.
  • Agreeing main contract sums and managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
  • Reviewing and managing variations, change orders and claims.
  • Monitoring project progress, assessing cost performance and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Carrying out value-engineering exercises to optimise project budgets.
  • Working closely with site teams, clients, Project Managers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Attending project progress meetings and providing weekly and monthly reports to the directors.
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team where required.
