Contract Type:
Part-Time Contractor (3 days per week until 31st of DEC 2026) / Full-Time Contractor (as from 1st of JAN 2027 - 1st of JUN 2028)
Location:
BRU during planning and preparation phase
On-site support at MRO required during implementation phase (as from Q2/Q3 2027)
Role Overview:
The Material Coordinator will support an aircraft cabin retrofit program by managing material ordering, logistics coordination, supplier follow-up, and customs clearance activities. During the first year, this role will be part-time and focused on planning, ordering, and early logistics activities to support program ramp-up.
As the program enters the implementation phase, the contractor will be required to provide on-site support at the designated MRO facility starting in Q3 2027 to ensure effective coordination of materials during aircraft modification activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders for aircraft cabin retrofit materials, components, and consumables
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments in line with program and aircraft schedules
- Follow up with suppliers on lead times, delivery commitments, and readiness
- Coordinate customs clearance activities, including preparation and verification of import/export documentation
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers to ensure timely material release
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate material records in ERP system (AMOS)
- Track material status and communicate availability, risks, and constraints to the program and production teams
- Maintain accurate material records in ERP (AMOS)
- Support kitting and staging activities for aircraft modification work packages
- Proactively identify and mitigate material or logistics risks that may impact aircraft downtime
- Follow up of the goods receiving by the MRO
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in material coordination, logistics, or supply chain within aerospace or aviation
- Experience supporting aircraft modification, retrofit, or MRO programs
- Proven experience with international shipping and customs clearance
- Familiarity with aviation material traceability and certification requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems (AMOS) and Microsoft Office

Travel & On-Site Requirements:
- Hybrid support during planning and preparation phases
- On-site presence at the MRO facility required during implementation starting Q2/Q3 2027 - Asian region
- Travel frequency and duration to be aligned with aircraft input schedules and program milestones
- Flexibility required to support critical material deliveries, AOG situations, or customs clearance activities during on-site phases
