HSE Lead – Major Data Centre Projects – Finland Locations: Multiple Sites Across Finland (Site-Based)
Positions Available: 3
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Minimum)

Rate: Competitive Day Rate

The Opportunity We are seeking three experienced HSE Leads to join a client-side delivery team overseeing major hyperscale data centre developments across multiple locations in Finland.

This is a senior-level leadership role on high-profile, mission-critical construction sites, offering long-term continuity across a secured 6+ year programme of works. You will play a critical role in driving safety culture, compliance, and operational excellence across complex, fast-paced builds.
These roles will be site-based and embedded within active construction environments.
Data centre project experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all Health, Safety & Environmental activities across large-scale data centre construction sites
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve project-specific HSE strategies and systems
  • Ensure full compliance with Finnish legislation and EU safety directives
  • Provide visible safety leadership across client, main contractor and subcontractor teams
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments
  • Review and approve RAMS and method statements
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Drive behavioural safety programmes and proactive risk mitigation
  • Report to senior project stakeholders and client representatives
  • Promote a zero-harm culture across all work packages
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an HSE Lead / Senior HSE Manager on major construction projects
  • Mandatory data centre experience(hyperscale or mission-critical environments)
  • Strong knowledge of EU and Finnish HSE regulations
  • Demonstrated experience working on high-value, high-risk construction sites
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification)
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate at senior level across multiple contractors and disciplines
  • Experience within fast-track or complex MEP-heavy environments is highly advantageous
