EHS Advisor – Data Centre Construction Location: Germany

Description:
A leading European data centre delivery organisation is looking for an experienced EHS Advisor to join a major data centre construction project in Germany.
Safety isn't just about ticking boxes – it's about making sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.

We're looking for a proactive EHS professional who can bring strong health, safety and environmental knowledge to a fast-paced construction environment. You'll play an important role in promoting a positive safety culture, supporting site teams and ensuring all activities are carried out in line with relevant legislation, standards and project requirements.

Working closely with management, employees and subcontractors, you'll provide practical EHS guidance, identify potential risks, carry out inspections and audits, and help drive continuous improvement across the project.
If you're passionate about creating safer working environments and enjoy being hands-on in construction, this could be your next opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day EHS advice, guidance and support to management, employees and site teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant EHS legislation, industry standards and project requirements.
  • Support environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives.
  • Deliver EHS training, site inductions and regular safety communications.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports and KPIs, supporting audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Identify potential hazards and work proactively with project teams to implement effective control measures.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the project.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure consistent EHS standards across site operations.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline (NEBOSH, IOSH, QQI Level 6/7 or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an EHS or Health & Safety advisory role.
  • Previous experience within construction, ideally large-scale or mission-critical projects.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage with site teams, management and subcontractors.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine commitment to workplace safety.
What's in it for you?:
  • Opportunity to work on some of Europe's largest and most advanced data centre projects.
  • Career progression and professional development within a rapidly growing sector.
  • Competitive salary package.
  • Supportive, dynamic and collaborative working environment.
  • The opportunity to make a real impact on health, safety and environmental standards across major construction projects.
Think you've got what it takes to make safety second nature? We'd love to hear from you!
