With a strong reputation and a secured pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support the continued development of their safety culture and compliance standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional who enjoys a hands-on role, working closely with operational teams and project managers to ensure safe working practices are embedded across multiple projects

The Role As Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the business with all aspects of health, safety and compliance across operational and construction activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting project and operational teams with their health & safety obligations.
  • Preparing and reviewing RAMS, risk assessments, construction phase plans and safe systems of work.
  • Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Monitoring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Managing training records, competency requirements and compliance tracking.
  • Supporting vehicle and fleet safety processes.
  • Maintaining health & safety documentation, policies and management systems.
  • Producing health & safety performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Promoting a positive health & safety culture across the organisation
Requirements Essential
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
  • Experience within construction or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience producing RAMS, risk assessments and construction phase plans.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
  • IOSH Membership.
  • Full UK Driving Licence 
Desirable
  • Experience with Health & Safety management systems and portals.
  • Experience managing training compliance and audit processes.
  • Additional Health & Safety qualifications or certifications
