V7 Recruitment are currently recruiting for Intermediate and Senior Health & Safety Advisors to join a major General Contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Sweden and the wider Nordics.
The successful candidates will join the project team on a 12-month rolling contract, with the opportunity to either move into a permanent position after the initial 12 months or continue contracting.
The client has a significant pipeline of data centre projects across Sweden, providing strong long-term opportunities for the right candidates.
The RoleAs a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be site-based and responsible for supporting the delivery of a safe working environment across a large-scale data centre construction project in Stockholm.
You will work closely with the project management team, contractors and subcontractors to ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety procedures across the project.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other Health & Safety documentation.
- Identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
- Assist with the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and other Health & Safety briefings.
- Monitor high-risk construction activities and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
- Work closely with the wider project team to promote a positive Health & Safety culture.
- Provide practical Health & Safety advice and guidance to site teams.
- Support the project in maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, client requirements and industry best practice.
- Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within a large-scale construction environment.
- Suitable for Intermediate through to Senior-level Health & Safety professionals.
- Proven experience working on large construction sites is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
- Confident working with contractors, subcontractors and senior project stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Data centre / mission-critical experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience within other major construction sectors will be considered.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
- Must already be based in Sweden – relocation from overseas is not being considered for these positions.
