Our client, a leading name in North West/Midlands Construction, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and drive SHE excellence across the business—from pre-construction through to onsite delivery. This is a key strategic role focused on embedding best practice, safe working methods and a positive safety culture in line with current legislation and industry standards.

The Role
  • Lead and manage Health & Safety activity across all Property Services operations

  • Support Heads of Department and contribute to annual H&S strategy, KPIs and business plans

  • Maintain and implement Safety, Health & Environment policies and ensure the Safety Management System reflects current legislation

  • Oversee SHE Advisors/external consultants and ensure consistent standards

  • Conduct site visits, audits, inspections and incident investigations

  • Deliver inductions, SHEQ training and monthly H&S communications

  • Drive continuous improvement, quality awareness and stakeholder engagement

  • Support pre-construction, supply chain events and annual conferences

  • Lead development of procedures manuals and ensure compliance across all departments

  • Maintain and gain accreditation for ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 50001

  • Research and recommend innovative H&S and construction solutions
