V7 Recruitment are working with a large, well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to support a long-term fire safety programme across a large and complex estate in Bristol.

This role requires an experienced Fire Safety professional who is comfortable working independently across a multi-site environment, carrying out and reviewing fire risk assessments and providing competent fire safety advice to key stakeholders.

The position will be predominantly site-based in Bristol, with hybrid working available for report writing and administrative duties.

The Role

  • Carrying out and reviewing fire risk assessments across a large and diverse property portfolio
  • Acting as a competent person in relation to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
  • Producing detailed FRA reports, action plans and risk mitigation recommendations
  • Reviewing and maintaining fire position statements
  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of fire safety management systems
  • Providing practical fire safety advice to operational and compliance teams
  • Supporting fire safety audits and identifying areas for improvement
  • Managing your own workload and ensuring assessments, reports and actions are progressed within agreed timescales
  • Working closely with stakeholders across a complex estate environment
Requirements

  • Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent Level 4 fire qualification
  • Membership of a recognised professional body such as IFE or IFSM
  • Strong experience carrying out fire risk assessments across large or complex estates
  • Excellent knowledge of fire safety legislation and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
  • Experience acting as a competent fire safety professional
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Strong report writing and stakeholder management skills
  • Higher education, healthcare, public sector or similarly complex estate experience would be beneficial
What’s on Offer

  • £375 –£450 per day depending on experience
  • Outside IR35
  • Initial 6 - month contract
  • Predominantly site-based in Bristol
  • Hybrid working available for reports/admin
  • Long-term contract opportunity
  • Potential start from late October / November
