Fire Extinguisher & Fire Service Engineer– North London

V7 Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Fire Extinguisher & Fire Service Engineer for a long-term contract covering North London and surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced fire engineer looking for consistent subcontract work, with a strong pipeline and backlog of work across social housing, residential and hotel contracts.
We are looking for a well-rounded fire service engineer with strong experience servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems, who is fully qualified and BAFE certified.

Scope of Work The successful engineer will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers
  • Servicing and maintaining fire suppression systems
  • General fire service and maintenance works
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Fault finding and reactive maintenance
  • Completing remedial works where required
  • Completing service reports and relevant documentation
  • Working across occupied social housing, residential and hotel environments
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with current fire safety standards and client requirements
Location
Work will predominantly cover North London and surrounding areas, working across a portfolio of housing and hotel contracts.

Ideally, engineers will be North London based or within easy travelling distance of the sites.

Contract Details
  • £34.00 – £35.00 per hour
  • Outside IR35
  • Weekly pay every Friday
  • 5 days per week
  • Long-term, consistent workload (12 months) 
  • Large existing backlog of service and maintenance work
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Immediate start available
  • Potential permanent opportunity available if of interest
Requirements
  • Strong experience as a Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer
  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers
  • Experience with fire suppression systems
  • BAFE certified / relevant extinguisher qualifications essential
  • Strong knowledge of fire PPM and servicing
  • Experience within social housing, residential or hotel environments beneficial
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own tools and transport
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
