Fire & Security Service Engineer (Temporary Sub-Contract Role)

V7 are recruiting experienced Fire & Security Service Engineers, with a strong fire alarm background, to support a national commercial contract based in Sunderland. While this is a multi-skilled role, the position is primarily fire-focused, covering servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, alongside security systems.
This role offers stable, long-term subcontract work on commercial sites across Sunderland and the surrounding area.

The Role
  • Initial 6-month rolling contract
  • Monday to Friday working pattern (weekend work available)
  • Servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting (primary focus)
  • Reactive fault-finding and remedial repairs on fire systems
  • Servicing and maintaining security systems, including access control and door entry, as required
  • Working across commercial sites throughout Sunderland
  • Managing workload effectively while meeting service deadlines

Requirements
  • Proven experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems
  • Experience with emergency lighting
  • Working knowledge of security systems, including access control and door entry
  • Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Valid DBS check required
