V7 are recruiting experienced Fire & Security Service Engineers, with a strong fire alarm background, to support a national commercial contract based in Sunderland. While this is a multi-skilled role, the position is primarily fire-focused, covering servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, alongside security systems.
This role offers stable, long-term subcontract work on commercial sites across Sunderland and the surrounding area.
The Role
- Initial 6-month rolling contract
- Monday to Friday working pattern (weekend work available)
- Servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting (primary focus)
- Reactive fault-finding and remedial repairs on fire systems
- Servicing and maintaining security systems, including access control and door entry, as required
- Working across commercial sites throughout Sunderland
- Managing workload effectively while meeting service deadlines
- Outside IR35
- Competitive hourly rate with weekly pay every Friday
- Rates from £33.00 to £35.00 per hour
- Overtime readily available
- Travel time paid

- Experience with emergency lighting
- Working knowledge of security systems, including access control and door entry
- Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Valid DBS check required
