Fire Alarm Certification & Compliance Coordinator – Contract

Brentwood, Essex

Outside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | Immediate Start

I'm currently looking for someone with a background in fire alarm systems to support a national Fire & Security company on a 6-month contract based in Brentwood, Essex.

This is an office-based role focused on reviewing fire alarm certification, checking completed works and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant.

Ideally looking for someone with a good understanding of fire alarm systems, strong computer skills and previous experience working with fire alarm certification.

The role will involve:

Reviewing and verifying fire alarm certificates
Checking completed works and supporting documentation
Ensuring certification meets BS 5839 requirements
Identifying errors or missing information on certificates
Liaising with engineers regarding certification queries
Updating and maintaining compliance records
Supporting the technical team with general documentation and compliance

Experience required:

Previous experience within the fire alarm industry
Good understanding of BS 5839
Knowledge of fire alarm certification and documentation
Strong computer skills and attention to detail
Experience with fire alarm servicing, commissioning or compliance would be beneficial
FIA qualifications advantageous but not essential

Contract details:

6-month contract
Outside IR35
Monday to Friday
Office-based in Brentwood, Essex
Day rate negotiable depending on experience
Immediate start available
