Electrical Engineer – Long term - Sub-Contract Work
Contract: 6-month rolling
Rate: £280 per day (Outside IR35)
Pay: Weekly pay every Friday
Overtime: Not available
V7 are looking to engage qualified and experienced electricians to support a long-term contract delivering ventilation installation and maintenance works across social housing properties. The role focuses on ensuring homes remain safe, compliant, and energy-efficient, while maintaining a professional and respectful approach with tenants.
You’ll work alongside schedulers and management, completing planned and reactive works and recording all job information through a PDA. As this is a customer-facing role, strong communication and a high standard of workmanship are essential.
Role Responsibilities
• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
• Install, maintain, and fault-find domestic ventilation systems
• Communicate professionally with residents
• Work collaboratively with schedulers and office teams
• Complete job cards and certification using a PDA
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Proven electrical background (social housing experience ideal)
• NVQ Level 3 & 18th Edition
• 2391-52 or equivalent testing qualification
• Strong IT literacy (email, MS Office, PDA use)
• Confident installing domestic fans in residential settings
