The Opportunity
An established Tier 1 contractor is continuing the expansion of its long-term data centre programme, with multiple live developments across Sweden and a substantial pipeline of future phases already secured. They are now seeking an Electrical Engineer to join one of these major projects.
This is a site-based engineering position operating on a rotational working model, offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to develop their career within one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors. Working alongside experienced engineering and project delivery teams, you will support the technical delivery of electrical systems throughout the construction lifecycle while gaining exposure to large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the technical delivery of electrical works from installation through to commissioning and project handover.
- Coordinate day-to-day electrical activities alongside subcontractors, supervisors and the wider project team.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, technical submittals and installation details.
- Assist with the management of RFIs, technical queries and design coordination.
- Support QA/QC processes through inspections, installation verification and quality documentation.
- Monitor site progress and provide programme updates to senior engineers and project management.
- Coordinate interfaces between electrical works and other construction disciplines.
- Support testing, energisation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, inspection records and technical reports.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical, design and coordination issues throughout project delivery.
You will be an Electrical Engineer looking to continue developing your career within large-scale construction and mission-critical infrastructure. Working alongside experienced project teams, you'll support the technical delivery of electrical systems while building your knowledge across the full construction lifecycle.
Ideally, you will possess:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 1–3 years' experience within electrical construction, industrial engineering or a comparable project environment.
- Experience gained within substations, power distribution, battery manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy, utilities or other complex engineering sectors would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of electrical installation practices, construction drawings and engineering documentation.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop a long-term career within data centre and mission-critical construction.
