Position Title: Crane Operator

Reports To: Construction Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile, tower, or crawler cranes to lift, move, and place materials such as steel, concrete, piping, and formwork.
- Inspect crane and rigging equipment daily to ensure proper working condition.
- Interpret load charts, engineering drawings, lift plans, and signal instructions.
- Perform precision lifts in coordination with riggers, signalers, and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate logs of lifts, inspections, and equipment performance.
- Follow all company safety protocols, local regulations, and project-specific requirements.
- Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, and lift planning meetings.
- Ensure proper rigging, load weight distribution, and stabilization before each lift.
- Report equipment defects or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.
- Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the Stegra Project.
- Work closely with site supervisors, rigging teams, ground crews, and engineering staff.
- Communicate clearly using radio signals and hand signals as required.
- Assist in planning complex lifts and coordinating sequences to support project schedules.
- Provide guidance to less experienced crew members as needed.
- Valid Crane Operator Certification (NCCCO or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years of crane operation experience in civil or heavy construction.
- Demonstrated ability to operate cranes of varying sizes and configurations.
- Strong understanding of rigging, load calculations, and lift safety standards.
- Ability to work in outdoor, physically demanding, and high-risk environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.
