V7 Recruitment is working with a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering some of Europe's most complex mission critical and data centre projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a flagship project in Frankfurt. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major data centre development, leading commissioning activities from planning through to handover while managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements: 
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commissioning leadership roles within mission critical, data centre, industrial or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes, programmes, procedures and documentation.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and witnessing FAT/FWT activities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent programme and deadline management skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment and work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Commissioning Engineers and Package Engineers.
  • Define commissioning scope and oversee delivery against project requirements.
  • Develop, manage and track commissioning programmes, milestones and critical deadlines.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are delivered in line with contractual requirements and project procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage vendor FATs (Factory Acceptance Testing) and FWTs (Factory Witness Testing).
  • Manage commissioning activities across CFCI and OFCI packages.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all commissioning stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors and internal teams.
  • Chair and contribute to daily and weekly commissioning meetings.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to achieve programme objectives.
  • Support project handover and closeout activities.
