You'll play a key role in producing accurate, competitive tenders for a range of active fire protection projects while working closely with sales, technical and operational teams.
If you have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, emergency lighting or suppression systems and enjoy combining technical expertise with commercial thinking, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to prepare competitive quotations.
  • Complete quantity take-offs and attend site surveys where required.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Support the tender process from enquiry through to submission.
  • Identify technical, commercial and compliance risks during the estimating stage.
  • Work collaboratively with operational and project delivery teams to ensure estimates are practical and achievable.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with current fire safety legislation, Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
About You

We're looking for someone with:
  • Proven hands-on experience in active fire safety maintenance (essential).
  • Previous estimating experience within fire safety, construction or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, suppression systems and associated maintenance requirements.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
  • Fire industry qualifications, FIA training or manufacturer certifications would be advantageous but are not essential as training will be given.
What's on Offer
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience.
  • Opportunity to join a growing and well-established specialist contractor.
  • Career progression opportunities.
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Opportunity to work on projects that improve fire safety and compliance across a variety of sectors.
  • Company benefits package.
