I’ve just moved back to Manchester and absolutely love the city’s energy and vibe, it feels like the perfect place to start this next chapter of my career. I graduated from university here about 18 months ago with a degree in psychology, and although I’m new to recruitment, I’m excited to dive in and learn everything about the industry.
What do you enjoy most about working at V7 Recruitment?
I’m really enjoying getting to know everyone at V7 and learning the ins and outs of recruitment. It’s exciting to explore the construction industry and see how the team connects the right people to the right roles. Every day feels like a new adventure, and I love being part of such a supportive, dynamic culture where there’s always something new to discover.

You Are Attracting Applicants, Not The Right Candidates One of the biggest misconceptions in hiring is the belief that more applications automatically lead to better hires. In reality, the opposite is often true. When a job advert is too broad, generic, or poorly targeted, it attracts volume instead of relevance. Hiring managers then spend hours filtering through unsustainable CVs, while genuinely qualified candidates either overlook the role entirely or disengage because the opportunity feels unclear.
