Automatic Door Engineer – Full Training Provided

V7 Recruitment are working with a well-established client within the automatic door industry who are looking to recruit an Engineer from a transferable background — such as HVAC, Lifts, Gates, Shutters, or Access Control — to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who’s looking to move into a new, stable, and growing sector. This business manufacture their own revolving door systems, so full in-house product training is provided, and you’ll be supported by an experienced technical team to transition your existing skills into the world of automatic door systems.

  • Starting salary £35,000-£40,000 - which will increase with training and development

Role Responsibilities
  • Installation, service, and repair of automatic door systems to manufacturer and industry standards (training provided)

  • Carry out routine maintenance visits and safety inspections

  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently and effectively

  • Work closely with clients on-site, delivering professional customer service

  • Complete service documentation accurately

  • Follow all health and safety procedures while on-site

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering role(e.g. HVAC, Lift Engineering, Gates, Shutters, Access Control, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems

  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities

  • Confident using hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment

  • Professional communication skills and strong customer focus

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Eagerness to learn new systems and develop within a growing business
